A Fresh Start

To all our posters and visitors, I would like to firstly apologise for taking the hard decision in closing the forum yesterday morning. 

Whilst for some this may be a cause for celebration but for the majority I appreciate that this is a sad day. After over four years online, we have all made some great friends here on P & CA and have formed a solid community. Without the members contributing day in day out to P & CA we would not have lasted as long as we have.

After much deliberation and taking into account the thankless task the moderation and admin team perform. I have therefore decided to re-launch the forum over the coming days.

I have received many many emails from members old and new over the last 24 hours and it has enforced the view that P & CA is a workable forum. We have a great collection of posters and I realise it would not be fair to close down the site and forum due to a few persistent troublemakers.

As a result I have decided that prior to reopening the forum, the entire site will get a much needed overhaul. 

Upon re-opening the forum I can also confirm that Politics and Current Affairs is to reopen, with a banning amnesty for all.

It is my aim and mission to make P & CA a fun place to post at again. To this extent I also will be personally more involved in it's smooth running on a day to day basis. Thus taking some of the pressure off our small admin and moderator team.

I started Politics and Current Affairs back in January 2003 as a hobby site. A site where people from all political persuasions and backgrounds could post, without fear of being censured, banned or rebuked. I plan to ensure this once again becomes the case.

I am very much hoping that upon the re-launch of the forum that many old friends will return. Thanks for listening and thank you for your continued support.
